Follow this 10-step checklist to protect your personal data before selling your smartphone:
1. Back up all photos, videos, and documents to Google Drive or iCloud.
2. Back up WhatsApp chat history to cloud storage.
3. Sign out of Google, Samsung, or Apple iCloud Accounts.
4. Unpair Bluetooth devices (smartwatches, earbuds).
5. Remove SIM card and MicroSD card.
6. Remove device screen passwords, PINs, and pattern locks.
7. Deregister 2FA authenticator apps.
